Shenanduro race-day info!

The Shenanduro weekend is just around the corner and we are super excited that you will be joining us for this inaugural event! We have a cozy crew of just over a 100 participants to enjoy a weekend of trail running, paddling, and biking in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Keep an eye on the weather in case you need to pack some rain gear, but know that the trails drain really well and the river is coming up nicely!

All event information including schedule, required gear, logistics, and roster can be found on the Rev3 Adventure web site. This has been recently updated with additional details, so please make sure you review it. Please let us know if you have any questions (info@rev3adventure.com). Remember that the course is open to the public, so please follow the rules of the trail, including yielding to horses.

Please “like” and follow our Facebook page because we post the most up-to-date information there.

Trail Runners

Expect a mixture of terrain, including gravel road and trail. You’ll have a short, steep single-track hill climb, but then it’s mainly downhill, friends. Check the course map here.

We’ll have bagels and fruit on hand for post-race refueling, and be sure to stick around for the awards ceremony.

Mountain Bikers

You can set up a 10x10 tent in the parking lot adjacent to Downriver Canoe Company (follow directions once on site). If you are on a team, you will only have one team member on course at once. The rider can do as many laps as they’d like before switching out with a teammate. Stick around for some local BBQ and awards! And if you need any last-minute bike tuneage, the folks from Bike Stop of Warrenton will be on hand to help!

Paddlers

If you are participating in the paddle on Sunday and need to rent a canoe or kayak, please email info@rev3adventure so we can get that arranged for you. Right now we do not show that anyone has requested a boat.

You may drop your boats at the start location for the 16-mile paddle between 7:00 am and 7:20 am on Sunday, May 8. Boat drop is on the west side of the bridge at Downriver Canoe Company in the Game and Fish parking lot. You may drop your boat for the 7-mile paddle between 8:00 and 8:20 am on Sunday at the Gooney Creek Boat launch. We will have staff on hand to watch your equipment. Please drop your boats and then proceed to check in at the VFW in Front Royal. We will shuttle you back to the start and your vehicle will be waiting for you at the finish at VFW. If you do rent a boat, it will be waiting for you at the start line and you can come straight to check in.

Click here for the course map.

Be sure to hang around once you make your way down the river for the awards ceremony and some lunch!
