Summing Up a Most Epic Weekend in the Shenandoah Valley
Thank you all for coming out this past weekend. We hope you had a great time trekking, biking, paddling, and navigating around Shenandoah River State Park and George Washington National Forest.
It was great to see all the families getting out together and doing things they may have never done before or in quite the same way! The AquaBlazers rocked their paddle and trek, and the Strong participants showed up with their guns out, proving who is Shenandoah Strong! The 26-hour Epic participants did a fabulous job of getting their money’s worth out of the course (some teams with only minutes to spare), and they definitely got to explore a lot of this beautiful area. We are continually amazed with how much you all push yourselves and the amount of passion you have for Adventure Racing.
We have the results posted here:
We believe most of the standings in each category are accurate, but let us know if you see something that needs adjusting.
Bushnell Photography has posted some preview shots from the Family Adventure Race. You can find them on our Facebook page. The Bushnells and Chris Radcliffe, who took photos of the Epic participants, are busy processing three days’ worth of photographs. As soon as the full galleries are up, we will send out another notification.
We are always looking for ways to improve our events and welcome any feedback you have to offer. Please take a few minutes to complete the post-race survey here. Also, if you had a nice time with us, please consider giving us a positive review on our Facebook page to spread the fun and get more people involved and outside moving with their friends and family.
If any of the Epic racers captured their travels on GPS with devices sealed in the provided bags, please send them to mark@rev3adventure.com and we will get them loaded into RouteGadget.
Once again thanks for supporting Rev3 Adventure and bringing your adventurous spirit to the Shenandoah Epic Weekend. Hope to see you all soon!
